Hybrid Power
All the confidence you need comes standard with the
new Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid. Combined
with Subaru's StarDrive Technology, the Crosstrek Hybrid leans on its SUBARU
BOXER gas engine to produce a bulk of its power. But that's not all. Working in tandem with the gasoline engine is
a high-voltage electric motor that gets charged for every mile that you
drive.
Offering up to an EPA-estimated 90 miles-per-gallon
(electric) on the highway, the Crosstrek Hybrid boasts up to 480 miles of total
driving range. Perfect for everyday
driving in the Bronx, the Crosstrek Hybrid is designed to maximize efficiency
by channeling kinetic energy directly from the wheels to the on-board electric
motor. For example, when you're coasting
down a hill or taking your foot off the gas pedal, your battery will begin
charging and storing electric power to use later.
Battery Saving Mode
Subaru drivers are known to take on the great
outdoors with confidence. Now available
with Battery Save Mode, the new Crosstrek Hybrid lets you conserve your power
on longer road trips when you need it most. The beauty of Subaru's Hybrid
technology lets you store additional amps of electric power for later when you
run out of gas. This keeps the SUV
operating efficiently without wasting any unnecessary fuel or electric
power.
